Uncommitted. A 5-foot-10, 160-pounds right-handed hitting middle infielder. Young started at second base and batted leadoff for Providence, recording three hits in three plate appearances with a double and collected the teams only RBI. Balance stance, active hands, short toe tap stride. Athletic hands with above-average bat to ball skills, ability to drive the ball where it’s pitched, stays short and repeatable. In his first at-bat, he took a first-pitch fastball to right center field for a lead off double. During his second at-bat with one out and a 1-2 count, Young went opposite field for an RBI single.
