The left-hander made an immediate impact on varsity as a freshman, when he posted a 7-2 record with a 2.14 ERA and 83 strikeouts. Headean hasn’t stopped winning games in the Central Illinois area since. In three varsity seasons, he has compiled an 18-6 record behind his easy mid-80s fastball and solid curveball. As a sophomore, he racked up 102 Ks in 67.2 innings.
