RHP Caden Riley (Galesburg, 2026) stands in a hard-to-miss 6-foot-4, 202-pound frame. On the mound, Riley is an easy and simple mover on the mound with minimal effort. His fastball sat 81-83 mph, topping out at 84 mph with slight arm-side action. He turned to a 69-70 mph curveball that played low in the zone with depth, averaging 2328 rpm, and a change-up at 73-74 mph with an average of -11.3 inches of horizontal movement. Riley is an uncommitted follow in Illinois’ junior class.
Positional Profile: LHP/1B
Body: 6-5, 205-pounds.
Delivery: Clean, easy mover, minimal effort down the mound, high leg lift with coil, tall/fall down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Long, clean path, 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 81-83 mph. Plays with some arm-side action, mostly straight. T2274, 2199 average rpm.
CB: 70-70 mph. 1/7 shape, short action. T2402, 2328 average rpm.
CH: 73-74 mph. Fade and depth, down in the zone. T2010, 1998 average rpm.
LHP Caden Riley, Galesburg, 2026 Uncommitted. 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame with upside and seemingly room for more to come. Threw three innings on the mound, struck out two, walked one and allowed two hits. Clean delivery, high leg lift with tuck and slight coil, drop and drive down the mound. Full arm circle out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat in the upper-70s to low-80s throughout with straight actions, and arm-side run at times. Also mixed in a 12/6 curveball that sat 67-68 mph, and a change-up at 73 mph that was thrown to both right-handed and left-handed hitters.

Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Wiry, high-waisted frame, long levers.
Hit: RHH. Wide base, minimal leg lift with a long stride. Direct to the ball, flat path through the zone. 66.4 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 80.7 mph. 285’ max distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 79 mph. Long arm path, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Fields ball out front, works in-stride, easy actions, crow hops on throws.
Run: 7.54 runner in the 60.
