SO. RHP Merrick Hill (South Elgin) a 6-foot, 200-pound right-hander, tossed the ball well last week. Hill showed a three pitch mix with the fastball up to 89 mph, sitting 86-88 mph with an avg. of 18 in. of HM. Flashed a slider at 75-77 mph for strikes, and a changeup at 81-83 mph with 17 in. of avg. HM.

6-foot, 195-pounds, high waist with some strength throughout. Easy mover with a clean arm, playing from a high ¾ window. Fastball plays clean out of the hand at 84-88 mph, topping at 89 mph with arm-side action. Showed feel for his curveball with quality spin, sitting in the low-70s (T2426 rpm). Changeup plays with some dive to the arm-side and under the zone at times, 79-80 mph.
