Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 5 in the state. Upside 6-foot, 151-pound frame with plenty of room to add strength, lean and lanky frame. Served as the DH in this look, hitting out of the four-hole and finishing with two doubles, nearly leaving the yard to straightaway center. Did not see defensive action due to pitching the day prior, but has shown in previous looks to be a smooth, natural defender with actions to stick up the middle long-term. Loose, upside right-handed swing with athletic movement patterns, minimal swing/miss, works with a direct and flat path through the zone. More strength to come as he continues to mature physically.
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 5 in the state. Fastball sat 85-88 mph with carry at the top of the zone. Went to the curveball with confidence at 70-73 mph, showing tight, sharp action. Flashed a cutter at 76 mph with occasional slider shape. Highly athletic mover that controls his body well, repeats the delivery with a clean, loose arm from a high ¾ slot. Uncommitted name for schools to follow with a high ceiling on the mound.
6-foot, 152-pound lean, athletic two-way prospect with all kinds of present two-way ability and upside to his game. Makes everything he does on the diamond look easy. Ran a 6.78 60 with advanced actions on the infield; ability to stick at shortstop with a loose, accurate arm that led the event at 92 mph across the diamond. Also, registered a vertical of 29” which was second best of the event. Right-handed hitter, took a smooth, polished round of BP where he consistently squared up baseballs; 92.3 mph average EV (98 mph max EV). On the mound, his athletic, low-effort delivery and quick, loose 3/4 arm action produce a fastball that sat 88-89 mph; T90 mph with carry through the zone. He also possesses an advanced, tight curveball at 71-72 mph 16.9 inches of average HM and 2359 average rpm. Gets quality arm side action on his 79-80 mph changeup and flashed a 78-79 mph cutter with a slider-like shape. Chiarodo’s overall skillset, athleticism, and advanced feel for the game make him one of the top two-way prospects in the state.

Presenting a twitchy 5-foot-9, 142-pound frame, SS/RHP Nicholas Chiarodo (Edwardsville, 2028) would emerge as a name to follow within the state’s rising sophomore class. Took a quality round of batting practice, producing a max exit velocity of 91.7 mph and an average of 85.6 mph. Finished gameplay 4-for-4 with three doubles and three walks. The right-handed hitter operates from a wide, balanced base with high leg lift. Fluid hands with a short, compact swing that is direct to the ball. Uncommitted. Started at second base and hit out of the nine-hole for the Tigers. Looks to be a middle infield prospect to follow moving forward. Lean and wiry frame with a high waist, room to add strength. Soft hands with natural actions and footwork on the infield, moves well to each side of his glove, clean glove-to-hand, arm can play from multiple angles with some looseness into his release. The right-handed hitter has an upside right-handed swing with loose levers, will be one to follow closely as he continues to mature and add strength.
