Dubuque commit. Lean, long-levered 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. Vahmistrovs started at third base and batted cleanup for the Saints in the Regional Semifinal. The left-handed hitter worked out of a slightly open setup, utilizing a minimal lift/place stride with strong hands and some feel for the barrel. Vahmistrovs brought in both of the Saints’ runs on a line drive RBI single to center field.

Vahmistrovs presented a lanky 6-foot, 155-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength. At the plate, the left-handed hitter stands upright with his bat over his shoulder and utilizes a leg kick to get into position to hit. Defensively, the rising junior showed athletic actions at the hot corner with it being clear that he is still learning how to use his lanky frame. A name to follow as he continues to grow into his current frame.
