Uncommitted. Athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with room to add strength. Henry shined on Saturday as he struck out eight batters through five innings. The right-hander operates from a simple, uptempo delivery with a high leg lift while having a drop/drive approach. Compact, short, quick arm action from a ¾ slot. His fastball sat 85-87 mph while playing up in the zone. Henry also mixed in a tight slider that sat 71-74 mph while producing swings/misses.
Uncommitted. 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with strength still to come. Started on the mound for the Rockets and tossed five innings, struck out three, allowed two runs, three hits and four walks. Up-tempo mover on the mound, short leg lift with tuck, tall/fall down the mound, worked in-line. Clean, compact arm path, quick arm out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 84-88 mph throughout his outing, played straight with run at times. Also mixed in a slider at 67-71 mph and a change-up at 68 mph. Uncommitted name to know in Illinois.
