5-foot-11, 170-pound SS / 3B. Starts in a narrow batting stance, slightly open and slightly bent over; keeps hands high; moves hands during load to create rhythm. Has a line drive swing plane; stays through the ball and balanced throughout swing; 85 mph exit velocity. In the field, moves well laterally and gets in position; makes accurate throws; shows clean, athletic actions at SS; 84 mph position velocity. Recorded a 60 time of 7.35.
2/16/2019: Evan Fauquher, SS/3B, Yorktown HS, 2020, 5 foot 10, 165 pounds, showed good separation and ability to get on plane and drive balls with gap power consistently from the right side. Posted a 83 mph exit velo, and as his body continues to fill out that number will rise. Evan also showed good hands, feet, and release at SS, and threw 84 mph across the diamond. On the mound, Evan throws from a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. Arm quickness is there and he showed ability to spin a sharp BB at 69-71. FB sat 79-81, and CH was 71-74. His tools are good for his frame, and 20 lbs from now expect to see those tools take off.
3/3/18: 5-foot-10, 165 pound infielder has above average hands with fluid footwork. Clean, quick exchange. Short arm action and quick release. Accurate throws topped at 79mph across the infield. Plays through the ball. Hits from a tall, narrow setup. Hard contact sprayed to all fields. Level path with extension. Line drive approach. High exit velocity of 80mph. On the mound, fastball showcased some downhill run at 78-79mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with late depth. Solid out pitch. Change-up is flat, firm.
