6-foot, 160-pound C with a pop time of 1.88-2.01. At the plate, starts with his feet even and his weight balanced; has a strong load and an upward swing plane with a high finish; 88 mph exit velocity. 2/16/2019: Kaid Muth, C/3B, Fishers HS, 2020, 6 foot, 160 pounds, uses small heel lift to load and small hand separation. Gets on plane very well as hands work well through the ball. Only concern at the plate is smaller frame and lack of lower half load. He recorded exit velo of 85 and I think that could be increased when frame fills out. At third base had slow foot work and a slow release, but did show arm strength as he threw 86 mph across the diamond. Behind the plate, Kaid posted pop times of 1.85-1.97 and threw 80 mph down to second base. Kaid showed good transfer and release with good direction in his feet towards second.

2/24/18:  6-foot, 160 pound catcher showcased pop times between 1.95-2.01.  Quick catch to throw.  Footwork is fluid, soft hands.  Throws topped 76 from the crouch. Offensively, he hits from a tall, open setup.  Athletic movements.  Some refinement needed in the load.  Quick barrel turn.  Level path with extension.  Potential power from the right side.  High exit velocity of 84.

10.14.17: 60 Time: 7.24, Position Velocity: INF-79, C-74, Exit Velocity: 85. 6-foot, 155 pound sophomore catcher showed athletic and fluid swing from the right side, generating easy bat speed and pop to the pull side. Tall and open setup, good rhythm and load, creates good separation and stretch, front foot lands athletic, slightly open to allow lower half to work with good extension through contact. Slight over rotate to finish. More lift and strength and generate in lower half. Behind the plate, feet and transfer are quick, glove works well to catch and throw. More arm strength to be developed, delivered accurate throws around the bag, pop times were 1.93-1.95. Sits athletic to catch, glove in good position to receive low pitch. Athletic glove and actions at third base, feet work quick and fluid. Exchange is clean with average soft hands. Short, high ¾ arm action across the diamond with average arm strength and carry.
