2/16/2019: Logan Duffy, C/OF, Hamilton Southeastern HS, 2020, 6 foot 1, 185 pounds, has early timing to get foot down, yet still creates enough bat speed to post a 88 mph exit velo. Hands work through the ball well and he stays balanced throughout swing. Logan posted pop times of 2.13-2.18 behind the plate using a quick release but below average arm. Arm gets long on the back and has a low elbow at slot position which is effecting the carry he gets on his throws.
2/24/18: 6-foot-1, 180 pound catcher has an open setup with hanging leg kick in the box. Some rhythm in load. Long, uphill path to contact. Average bat speed. Found the barrel consistently. Good balance. High exit velocity of 80. Behind the plate, pop times ranged between 2.15-2.28. Long footwork, clean transfer. Low 3/4 slot. Gets long in arm swing at times. Throws topped 71 from the crouch.
