5/3/18: Ranked No. 11 overall and No. 1 catcher in the 2019 Indiana class, but saw the mound in the last few innings highlighting some arm speed and command. Defensively the 6-foot-3 185 pound backstop had between inning pop times of 1.91, 2.01, 1.99 and 2.04 with accuracy. Quick footwork and clean transfer into a short arm swing. Showed the ability to move to either side redirecting the ball in the dirt back to the plate. In the box the LHH starts balanced and athletic. Smooth load and stride. Level bat with power up the middle or to left. On the bump went 2IP striking out 3 and allowing an unearned run. 25 of 37 pitches for strikes. Fastball was 84-87 touching 88 and 89 in the first inning of work. 83-86 in the second. Breaking ball had some swing and miss stuff thrown 76-77. Repeatable delivery with regular effort. Looks the part on the hill and might add a tick or two more over the next year.
2/17/18:  6-foot-3, 185 pound left-handed hitting catcher continues to fill in his frame and impress in the batters box.  Open setup, athletic load.  Loose hands, quick barrel.  Pullside approach with hard contact throughout.  Average balance.  High exit velocity of 88.  Defensively, he has quick footwork and transfer.  Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.  Clean into release.  Throws had carry, topping 82.  Pop times ranged between 1.88-2.00.  Notre Dame commit.
8/4/16 FUTURE GAMES: Catchers and high-ceiling 2019 prospects were two of the overarching strengths on Thursday, and the long and loose 6-foot-3, 185-pound McLeod was right up there in both categories. His easy left-handed bat, however, was his carrying tool at the event. McLeod has loose, easy hands, a simple, balanced approach with big power potential down the road as he fills into his frame. He registered a 91-mph exit velocity and fired consistent 2.0 pop times.

7/7/16: Athletic, lean frame at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds. Has an advanced feel for the position for his age. Shows good agility with soft hands.  Blocked well in game.  Strong, accurate arm with carry. In-game pop time of 2.18. LHH has a good approach.  Balanced setup, slight leg kick, average bat speed.
