Athletic, slender-bodied righty with a good arm. Slow-paced start to his delivery, then quick to the plate for some deception. Ran his fastball up to 92.6 mph with a high of 2501 rpm.
7/11/17: Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 379 overall, No. 21 in Indiana’s 2018 class. 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder with muscular, athletic build. High-level quick-twitch athlete with raw explosive tools. Ran a 6.51 laser-timed 60, fourth-best at the Midwest ProCase. Athleticism translates in the outfield, where he moves with fluidity. Throws have easy carry, clocked at 90 mph with little effort. Offensively, generates advanced bat speed and has strength in hands, 93-mph exit velocity with wood. Showed improved rhythm at the plate from last look; leg-kick trigger, hands drop at load with arm bar and uphill path; maintains athletic balance through the ball. Went 1-for-3 in game play.
6/20/17 East Coast Pro Showcase: 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic body frame. Currently uncommitted and ranked as the No. 39 outfielder overall in all of the PBR states. A plus runner who ran a 6.68 60-yard dash at the event. Defensively he has a good feel for the position while having good footwork and arm strength coming from a high ¾ slot. Right-handed hitter who has an easy swing, starts from a balanced set up using a leg kick/bat tip load that helps produce strength at the plate. Has quick hands and showed the ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field during his round of batting practice.
2/19/17: 6-foot-2, 180 pound outfielder, muscular/athletic build. Offensively the right-handed hitter hits from an athletic setup, leg trigger, loads back with a slight drop in hands. Good use of his lower half, maintains balance. Possesses quick bat speed with an uphill swing plane. Consistent hard contact with pull-side power. 1-handed finish. Registered a high exit velocity of 87 mph. Defensively, showcased carry on his throws at 90 mph. Quick/fluid feet, plays through the baseball with athleticism. Great feel for the position. Ran an event best 6.67 laser timed 60 yard dash.
2/20/16: 6-foot-1, 165 pounder ran a 6.65-60 and was 90 from the OF. Loose, high ¾ arm action with life. Shows plus actions from the OF with athleticism. Soft hands, quick, fluid feet. Plays through the baseball. Offensively, hits from a balanced setup. Hands drop during the load. Long stride, good use of the lower half. Good balance. Quick hands with bat speed. Regularly gets to extension. Uphill swing plane. High exit velocity of 90 mph.
5/9/15 GAME NOTES: Young, athletic outfielder, ran 4.37 to first from the right side today in limited playing time against Homestead. Attacks pitches early in the count and is projectable. CLICK HERE for video
2/22/15: An athletic 6-foot, 175 pound freshman showcased athletic defensive actions and a strong accurate arm with life at 90 mph. Quick, clean exchange and plays though the baseball with athleticism. Hits from balanced setup, slightly open. Uses a slight leg kick and shows good balance. Generates quick bat speed hitting hard line drives with gap-to-gap power. Good approach to the baseball. Recorded a high exit velocity of 87 mph. Ran a 6.75-60.
7/29/14: 5 foot 11 inches, 160 pounds, 6.95/60. Hit with wood from a balanced stance with a short, smooth stride. Very athletic player that will be able to play multiple positions. Outfield velocity was 81 mph, infield velocity 77 from a lower slot. He has average hands, quick feet and clean ball transfer.
6/18/14: 5’11/160, 7.07/60 Best young player I have seen in years. Strong and talented and his body has room to grow and get stronger. Velo from the OF was 80 mph and was very loose and release was easy. He has above average hands and quick feet. Ball transfer is effortless, fields his position like an athlete. With the bat! LOOK OUT! The ball jumps off his bat. He hits from a balanced stance with a short stride and fast hands. Will hit for power and average at a young age. Follow this guy
9/15/13: 5-foot-10, 155 pound 8th grader that looks the part. Best tool is at the plate, as defensively his actions are still raw and needs to continue to add arm strength. Athletic for his age and projects to run well as he matures. Projects more as an OF, though the arm slot is extremely low currently. At the plate starts open with a simple approach. Shows some stiffness throughout the swing, but shows above average power for his age. Very projectable 2018.
