6-foot-3, 170-pound SS / 2B with a 60 time of 6.91. At the plate, starts with feet even, slight bend in knees and hands even with head; has a small load and a high, two-handed finish; 88 mph exit velocity. Sometimes gets long but showed ability to barrel up balls consistently. In IF, fields ball cleanly; moves well laterally; shows good glovework; 3/4 arm slot; all throws were accurate; 84 mph position velocity.
2/16/2019: Nick Lukac, SS/2B, Fishers HS, 2020, 6 foot 3, 170 pounds, stands tall in the box and uses a controlled leg lift to load. Has a nice short separation on time to foot strike and his max exit velo was 85 mph. Moves well defensively and showed multiple arm angles and short and long arm action depending on the play. Threw 90 mph across the diamond and also ran a 7.01 60 yard dash. There is a lot of projection in the body and added strength will help the swing. Nick should be able to stay at SS as well.
9/30/18: 2020 SS with solid frame at 6’2 165 lbs. Hits from the right side. Athletic set up and uses a lift/tuck timing trigger. Solid hands through the zone that generates gap to gap type power. Exit velo of 81. Sure handed defender with solid footwork up the middle. Loose arm action, 84 across the diamond.
2/25/18: 60 Time: 7.03, Position Velocity: INF-84, Exit Velocity: 81
Gained more athleticism and velocity across the infield has jumped 8mph since last seen in the fall. Sophomore shortstop is long and athletic in the batters box, frame is still raw but possesses some pull side pop with lift. Long limbs, creates good attack angle to the baseball, simple leg lift to load and stride, good length in swing finishes balanced. Bat speed and strength will continue to develop with time. Athletic, long defender in the middle, with raw actions. Loose high ¾ arm slot, average arm strength with more to come. Choppy and flat footwork at times causing ball to be fielded deep, funnels. Plays through baseball with athleticism on backhand. Interesting follow in 2020 class with raw frame and arm strength.
9/10/17: 60 Time: 7.43, Position Velocity: INF-76, Exit Velocity: 81. 6-foot-1, 150 pound sophomore middle infielder plays with loose, athletic actions, showcasing a balanced setup and swing from the right side. Long, loose limbs, has some twitch in actions, barrel works short and quick to the baseball with good extension and lift. Quiet, simple approach at the plate, short separation in load. Has more length and positive movements to create in swing to generate more power. Plays with athletic and easy actions in the middle infield, short to long ¾ arm action across the diamond. Delivered accurate throws to the base with carry. Fluid actions to field with soft hands. Strong front side and lower half to throw. Athletic prospect with some projectability in the 2020 class.
