A left-handed hitter that we think could really blossom at some point, Westerfeld showed familiar silky smooth patterns in the box that leaves future projections bullish despite lackluster metrics. The load is well paced as the hands lift the barrel to a vertical position at launch, before then launching on a direct path as the barrel falls into the slot. The exits peaked at 92.5, but it is easy to suggest that number jumps when strength is packed onto the 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame. He is a fringy runner who also reached 83 from the outfield.

A young-for-class prospect with an ultra-projectable, 6-foot-3, 165 pound frame - Westerfeld showed well amongst older competition during the morning session with premier bat-to-ball abilities standing out most. His skills is well-ahead of his tools/athletic ability for now, but there is ample room in the frame for growth and a winter spent in the weightroom could easily help Westerfeld jump even further on our board. Quinn Westerfeld is a 2027 LHP/OF with a long, projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame and easy movements on both sides of the ball. On the mound, he operates with a balanced delivery and shows feel for a four-pitch mix. His fastball sits 78–79 mph (T79) with strikes and some carry traits, while his 63–65 mph curveball shows big shape. He also mixes in a short 65–67 mph slider and a 65–69 mph changeup that shows feel and fading action. At the plate, the left-handed hitter works on plane with a swing that plays with some length, producing an 89 mph max exit velocity and a 323’ peak distance. His 80 mph arm from the outfield and fluid stroke offer intrigue as a two-way prospect, with strength gains likely to unlock more upside.

Westerfeld, a lanky, 6-foot-3 left-handed hitter has steadily shown growth over the past year. The toolset is just above average for now, but will surely louden as the frame packs on strength. The best tool at the moment is his bat-to-ball, something he has shown over multiple 2024 looks and showed versus older arms at the State Games, grabbing a pair of extra-base hits on the day.
