5/27/25
+ I made a quick stop by the Norwood baseball facility and saw two at-bats from the uncommitted switch-hitting junior, both coming from the left-side. Reed torched a ball to the pull-side and burned the right-fielder in his first at-bat then flew out to the center-fielder in his second at-bat. He sets up in a balanced, slightly crouched stance before a smaller leg kick stride and compact load of the hands. Reed turns the barrel with bat speed on a slightly uphill plane, he shows pull-side power and has one of the most accurate barrels in the class. The 5-foot-10, 195 pounder got the start behind the dish and showed an above average arm from an over-the-top slot with solid receiving skills. Robinson has the versatility to move out to the outfield but the bat is the carrying tool and it’s one of the top bats still left in Indiana’s 2026 class.
5/14/25

Robinson went 7-for-11 on the week, totaling (6) runs scored and (3) RBI. The defending 3A All-State honoree collected a 2B, 3B, and HR for New Prairie last week.

3/18/25

Profile: Stocky, 5-foot-10, 195 pound C/OF, S/R. Bat is the best tool and can do it from both side with bat strength evident in triple digit exits. Present abv avg bat speed (75 mph avg) pairs with a tick above averge run tool (6.94). Shows abv avg arm strength from the crouch (81 mph). Actions - Offense: (LH) - sets up in a slightly crouched, athletic stance before a hovering stride and repeatable load happen. Turns the barrel on-plane with g2g strength and flashes present pull-side power. Similiar swing from the RH side, though less aggressive. Defense: Average receiver, arm has continued to develop working quick, high-motor. Summation: Robinson is a middle of the order bat and that tool leads a bat-first profile. The switch-hitting ability is real and he creates bat speed from both sides with strength and accuracy. He is a solid-enough runner to allow that tool to be impactful offensively, as well. There is some defensive versatility with a chance to stick behind the dish, but if you need a run-producers' bat in this class, you should see Robinson this spring/summer.

3/03/24

Robinson is one of the top uncommitted hitters in the sophomore class and was outstanding in his batting practice rounds at the All-State. A strong, compact, 5-foot-10, 185 pounder with plenty of strength in the lower half - Robinson had some of the loudest Trackman metrics of the day. His exit velocity peaked at 100.9 mph (2nd at event), while averaging 92 mph (event-best), with 76% of his batted balls leaving the bat at 90 mph or better (2nd at event), and his furthest ball traveling 376' (event-best). Robinson shows easy bat strength from both sides with an accurate, heavy barrel. We've seen his offensive prowess show in-game consistently. Robinson is a switch-hitting catcher with a solid run tool (6.91), and the run tool allows for defensive versatility. Reed turned in pops that ranged from 1.95 - 2.05, and was up to 87 mph from the outfield. The sophomore class has a solid group of uncommitted bats near the top of the class and Robinson continues to establish himself amongst that group.
