2/20/16 - Koehn is a 6-foot-2 195-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2016 class from Dodge City HS.  He ran a 4.95 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 70 mph.  At the plate, athletic set up, short stride, no wasted movement, gap-to-gap approach, balanced finish.  On the infield, high three quarters release, 79 mph positional velo, arm works, footwork creates momentum to throw, fluid transfers. On the mound, Koehn has a high three quarters release, body stays controlled throughout delivery, hands raise with leg lift, in line stride, throws downhill with regular effort, hides the ball well with some deception, fastball at 78-79 mph, slider at 71-74 mph, some depth with 10-to-4 action.

8/5/15 - Koehn is a 6-foot-2 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher.  Koehn ran a 7.28 60 and had a 73 mph exit velo.  During batting practice, showed a balanced stance, short stride and some hand load.  Repeatable swing mechanics with gap-to-gap approach. Doubled in game action.  On the infield, long over the top release, quick footwork, plays through ball, accurate throws, 78 mph positional velo. Koehn has body control during delivery, high three-quarters release, smooth rhythm, throws with regular effort, finishes in athletic position.  Fastball has run, 75-78 mph.  Knuckle curveball, late action, 10-to-4 shape, runs away from RHH.

2/21/15 - Koehn is a 6-foot-1 180-pound 3B/RHP.  Koehn starts with a wide set up at the plate and uses a short stride, smooth load, quick bat speed, and level extension.  Middle-to-oppo approach with repeatable swing mechanics, exit velo 75 mph, 4.63 home-to-first.  On defense, high three-quarters release, fluid footwork, clean exchange, 77 mph across the infield, accurate throws. On the mound, Koehn worked in the strike zone with three pitches, fastball at 77-78 mph, 10-to-4 slider, tight/late action, 69-71 mph, change-up has arm-side sink, 67-69 mph, high three-quarters slinging type arm action, throws with some effort, stays in-line down the mound, lands square, athletic finish.

11/2/14 - Koehn is an athletic-framed 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-hand hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher. During batting practice showed a balanced set-up, smooth hand load, no stride, short path, slight pull approach, exit velocity 70 mph. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. In the infield fielded everything cleanly, short high three-quarters throwing motion, easy arm, throwing velocity 74 mph, mostly accurate throws. On the mound under control early, hops at balance, leans back, slinging low three-quarters arm action. Fastball with arm-side run that matches slot, 75-76 mph. Feel for 11/5 breaking ball, 67-68 mph. Worked down in the zone with 66-69 mph change-up.
