2/24/18 - Brubeck is a 5-foot-8 155-pound right-handed hitting catcher and shortstop in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 4.75 home to first and has an 82 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, smooth load with minimal hand movement, in line stride, loose hands and level path through extension, swing produced mostly gap to gap line drives during hitting evals.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.14 and 2.26-seconds, 72 mph positional velocity, wide and square base in set up, high three quarters in release, soft hands, exchange and feet on time and in sync, momentum to throw, fluid actions with mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 73 mph positional velocity, fields the ball out front in athletic position, gathers feet and gains momentum to throw after the catch, soft hands with smooth exchange, high three quarters arm slot, smooth actions.
