8/5/15 - Shutt is a 5-foot-11 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher.  Shutt runs a 7.29 60 and has a 75 mph exit velo.  Has a line-drive approach to the middle of the field, smooth rhythm, no wasted movement in load, quick hands, good plate discipline during game action.  On the infield, 79 mph positional velo, long three-quarters release, fluid footwork, clean exchange, accurate throws, plays with energy. On the mound, Showed well in his outing, mostly fastball and change-up, command of both pitches, pitched to contact, ground balls, one strike out. Fastball at 78-81 mph, hits spots, both sides of plate, change up at 70-73 mph, arm side sink, late.  Curveball at 71-75 mph 11-to-5 movement.  Over-the-top release, regular effort, repeats release point.
6/18/14 - Shutt is a 5-foot-10, 152-pound right-handed pitcher.  He has an up-tempo delivery throwing from a strong balance point.  He throws from a three-quarters arm slot and his fastball was clocked in the 79-81 mph range most with sinking action.  Shutt also features a short 70-71 breaking ball and also showed a running change-up during warm-ups.  He attacked the strike zone as much as any pitcher at this event – striking out three of the four hitters he faced.
6/18/14 - Shutt is a 5-foot-10, 152-pound right-hand hitting infielder.  At shortstop he showed sure hands and made all accurate throws using a quick, three-quarters arm action.  His top throw was clocked at 76 mph.  At the plate he has an athletic set-up, uses a short stride and minimal hand load.  He has loose hands, an upper half dominant swing and middle-oppo approach.  His top exit velocity mark was 77 mph.  He ran a 4.39 home-to-1B from the right side.  Shutt plays the game with energy and loves to compete.  In the games he went 3-for-3 and stole three bases.
1/4/14 - Shutt is a 5-foot-9, 145-pound right-handed pitcher that throws from a ¾ slot with loose arm action.  He throws his 77-79 mph fastball in the strike zone at an exceptionally high rate.  He also throws a 69-72 breaking ball and 69-71 change-up.  If you like pitchers that work fast and pump strikes with their fastball, Shutt is your guy.  With sophomores like Shutt and AJ Knight emerging, the pitching staff at Mill Valley HS should be in great shape the next three years.
1/4/14 - Shutt is a 5-foot-9, 145-pound right-handed hitting infielder.  During the infield workouts he showed soft hands and fluid footwork with clean exchanges.  He threw with clean arm action from a ¾ slot. He was one of the most accurate throwers during the infield work with his top throw clocked at 76 mph.  At the plate he starts with a balanced set-up and high hands.  His stance is slightly closed and he has a short closed stride and minimal backward hand load.  He showed good balance, extension and a level swing. His top exit velocity was 79 mph.
