8/5/15 - Unruh is a 6-foot-3 195-pound switch-hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher.  He ran a 7.63 60 and had an 89 mph exit velo from the left side, one of the top for the event.  Balanced set up, no stride, loads hands, line drive approach with bat speed, loose hands, from right side, smooth load, short stride, line drives to middle of the field.  At third base, long over the top release, quick exchange, fluid footwork, 79 mph throwing velocity. On the mound, Unruh has a high three-quarters release, attacking the zone with three pitches.  Fastball at 75-79 mph, 11-to-5 curveball, 69-71 mph, late action, change-up down in zone 71-74 mph, fastball arm speed, throws with regular effort, smooth rhythm, athletic finish.  Two strikeouts, one walk, one hit during outing.

2/16/15 - Unruh is a switch-hitting class of 2016 right-handed pitcher and third baseman that attends Dodge City HS in Dodge City, KS. 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. At the plate right-handed has a balanced set-up. Short stride and load. Line drive approach with bat speed, recorded an 85 mph exit velocity. Left-handed showed a smooth load, strides in place, short path to the ball, lower half in sync with hands, simple swing with some lift. 80 exit velocity, ran a 4.47 home-to-first. At third base showed soft hands, clean exchanges, short over-the-top throwing motion, 74 mph throwing velocity, accurate throws.  On the mound works under control early, tall balance point, works slightly uphill during stride, three-quarters slot. Fastball with arm side run, 75-78 mph. Breaking ball with 12/6 shape, 64-67 mph. Change up dies with arm side sink as it approaches plate, 66-70 mph, good pitch.

11/2/14 - Unruh is a projectable 6-foot-3, 190-pound switch-hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher. Hitting right-handed showed a balanced set-up, smooth hand load, strides in place, level bat path, lower half in sync, bat speed, worked middle of the field with juice at times, exit velocity 83 mph. Left-handed showed an athletic set-up, hands close to body, strides in place, minimal hand load, worked gaps, exit velocity 79 mph. Simple swing with rhythm and flow from both sides. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Showed athletic actions in the infield, clean exchanges, short high three-quarters arm action, 78 mph throwing velocity, mostly accurate throws. On the mound starts on left side of rubber, under control early, tall balance point, leans back. Closes off and hides ball. Three-quarters arm slot, some effort. Fastball with sinking action down in zone, 76-77 mph, topped out at 78. Breaking ball with 11/7 shape, at times short, 67-69 mph. Change-up 66-67 mph.
