8/5/15 - Lowery is a 6-foot 165-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher.  He ran a 7.00 60 and had an exit velo of  78 mph.  Athletic set-up at the plate, smooth pre-swing load, no wasted movement, short stride, level path through contact, worked the middle of field during batting practice, aggressive base runner, good instincts.  In the outfield, 81 mph positional velo, high three-quarters release, quick crow hop, clean exchange, plays through the ball, accurate throws. On the mound, Lowery has deliberate delivery, over the top release, throws strikes with three pitches, 74-77 mph fastball, straight, 12-to-6 curveball, down in zone, 66-70, slight sink on change-up, 70 mph, throws with easy effort, repeats release point, athletic finish.
2/16/15 - Lowery is a class of 2016 outfielder and left-handed pitcher. Attends Lawrence HS in Lawrence, KS. Athletic 5-foot-11,165-pound frame. Bats left, balanced set-up, minimal hand load, strides in place, short path, lower half in sync with hands, compact line-drive swing. Worked middle of the field in batting practice round. Recorded an 81 mph exit velocity, ran a 4.38 home-to-first. Athletic actions in the outfield, soft hands, uses crow hop, over-the-top throwing motion, arm works, 76 mph throwing velocity, mostly accurate throws. On the mound showed a balanced delivery with rhythm and flow, high three-quarters arm action, athletic finish. Fastball runs and cuts, works bottom of zone, 77-78 mph, 80 tops. Breaking ball with 1/7 shape, 71-72 mph. Feel for 71-74 change-up, strikes, good pitch. Solid all around player, has picked up velocity on the mound.
6/18/14 - Lowery is a thin, athletic 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-handed pitcher.  He showed a methodical tempo early, closing off at the top of his knee lift creating deception.  He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot and his 74-75 mph fastball cuts and runs.  Lowery also throws a 61-64 breaking ball.  In the game, he threw a very high percentage of strikes – he clearly loves being out on the mound, competing and challenging hitters.
6/18/14 - Lowery is a thin, athletic 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.  In outfield drills he showed athletic footwork, clean exchanges and made accurate throws from a high three-quarters throwing motion.  His top throwing velocity was gunned at 81 mph.  At the plate, he has a wide inline stance uses a mini-leg kick stride and no hand load.  His hands work and he has an advanced middle-oppo approach.  He showed the ability to flatten a ball out to left field in a game at-bat, something you don’t see a lot out of in young left-hand hitters.  His top exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph.  He ran a 4.28 home-to-1B from the left side.  He’s improved in all categories since attending an event this winter.  In the games, Lowery collected two hits in two at bats and stole a base.
2/21/14 – Lowery is a 5-foot-10, 140-pound left handed hitting outfielder.  At the plate, Lowery has a gap-to-gap approach with a level swing path.  He has a smooth load and good extension that produces good back spin on the ball.  He had an exit velo of 71 MPH.  Defensively, the southpaw has a ¾ release and 74 MPH positional velo.  He was very accurate with his throws and was aggressive getting to the ball.  Lowery runs a 4.32 home-to-first.
2/21/14 – Lowery is a 5-foot-10, 140-pound left handed pitcher.  Lowery throws from a ¾ arm slot and get some movement on all pitches.  His fastball showed some late sink at 70-72 MPH and his curveball had a late, sharp break at 64-66. Lowery’s chang-up was clocked at 67-79 MPH.  He throws with regular effort and stays in-line as he gets down the mound.
