Walden is a 5-foot-10 190-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2020 class. He ran a 7.25 60 and a 4.66 home to first, had an 82 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance, quick tempo with leg lift and stride, stays in line, hands manage the bat, gap to gap approach, slight lift to bat path.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velocity, creates momentum with footwork after the catch, fluid transfer with high three quarters arm slot, mostly accurate throws.

6/5/18 - Walden is a 5-foot-10 175-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class. Walden comes from a high three quarters arm slot, smooth acceleration down the mound, stays in line with level shoulders, throws with regular effort, fastball at 74-76 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 shape, gradual action, threw change up at 63-64 mph, slight sinking action, near fastball arm speed. He ran a 7.02 60 and 4.41 home to first.  He has a 79 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, short in line stride, simple and repeatable with no wasted movement, hands control with bat, slight lift to bat path, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velocity, over the top release, works behind the ball and through the catch with momentum in feet, clean exchange on time with footwork, field ball in athletic position, mostly accurate throws.
