Positional Profile: OF/LHP Follow in the 2023 class.
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Lean, projectable frame with present athleticism.
Hit: LHH. Upright, open stance. Hands start near shoulder. High back elbow with pre-pitch rhythm in hands and bat. Controlled leg kick load and medium stride. Explosive through contact. Balanced finish. Uphill swing plane, looks to elevate the ball. Displays solid bat speed through the zone. Hard line-drive contact in BP.
Power: 95.8 max exit velocity, averaged 83.1 mph. 294’ max distance. Strength in the barrel. Gap-to-gap approach.
Arm: LH.   OF - 93 mph. Short high-3/4 arm action. Above average carry and accuracy.
Defense: In the outfield, aggressive direct routes with quick feet. Soft hands and clean exchanges. Uses momentum through his throws.
Run: 4.26 runner home to first. 


Positional Profile: OF/LHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 170-pound lean and athletic frame with room for added strength.

Hit: LHH.  At the plate starts with an open stance and hands set a shoulder height with a high back elbow.  Attacks with a vertical bat angle and rotational swing.  Leg kick/gather stride that gets back to neutral and even weight balance.  Lots of rhythm with the hands.  Line drive approach and shows some real strength at contact with exit speeds up to 92 mph in the BP session. 

Power:  82 mph exit velocity from the tee. 

Arm: LH.  OF-83 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the backside and longer release.

Defense:  In the outfield shows attacking rhythm with smooth feet.  Good crow hop mechanics and good exchanges.  Shows a feel for glove action and has good body control. 

Run: 4.56 runner from home to first.


Delivery: Rocker-step smooth delivery.  Repeats well.  Coils with front hip and shoulders at balance point creating interesting angles.  Stride foot lands closed and towards first base side to get arm working across the body. 

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with short arm action out of the glove and clean release.

FB: 80-82 mph, heavy arm side run and life at the top of the zone. 

CB: 68-71 mph, short 1/7 shape with developing spin.

CH: 76 mph, some fade with good command.

Body:  5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Lean, athletic, long limbs
Defense: OF – 75 mph. Smooth actions, aggressive to the baseball, momentum towards target.
Arm: Left-handed. High three-quarter release.
Hit: Left-handed. Upright stance, smaller leg lift into load, loose wrists, quick bat, feel for the barrel, some fast twitch tendencies, gets his back hip through. Collected a HR and 2B in the game off advanced arms.
Power:  89 mph exit velocity, hard contact throughout batting practice
Run: 7.31 second 60.


Displayed a lean, athletic 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame with room to add size and strength as he matures. The left-handed hitter begins with a bent, open stance utilizing a leg-lift to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path through the hitting zone with some lift to the pull-side gap. Hit into a stiff front side while finding consistent barrels off the tee. Recorded an 85 mph bat-exit velocity and registered a 7.26 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder showcased some athleticism while arriving on time and playing through the baseball with regularity. Momentum carried accurate 77 mph throws from his position towards the plate out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot.


Luce is a 5-foot-7 130-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas' 2023 class.  He ran a 4.52 home to first and has a 77 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall and open stance, controlled in line stride, hands separate from stride, stays under controlled, hands manage bat with level path, middle of the field approach.  In the outfield, over the top arm slot, clean transfer and throw, gains momentum through the ball with footwork, 70 mph positional velocity.
