11/4/17 - Gillig is an athletically built with long levers 6-foot-2 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and third baseeman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.72 60 and a 4.42 home to first.  He has an 87 mph exit  velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth load into back side, short stride, hands separated from body, occasional power to pull side, slight lift on bat path, solid middle to pull side contact in batting practice.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velocity, quick to the ball, working behind the ball, fluid exchange with momentum through the catch, high three quarters release. On the infield, 76 mph positonal velocity, high three quarters release, quick catch and throw, aggressive to the ball with fluid footwork, qucik exchange, soft hands, mostly accurate throws.
