2/24/18 - Strong is a strong and athletic 6-foot-3 180-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 4.38 home to first and has an 87 mph exit velocity. At the plate, hits from an athletic and strong position, no wasted movement in load, short in line stride, hands produce quick bat speed, level path, hard solid contact to middle and pull side with range in his swing and feel for the barrel, body stays under control.  In the outfield, 83 mph positional velocity, quick and aggressive to the ball, gains ground after the catch, transfer and athletic footwork in sync, high three quarters arm slot, throws have carry, arm works, strong build. On the mound, Strong has a quick and loose arm action, slight coil at top of balance point, over the top release, aggressive acceleration down the mound, in line, smooth tempo, fastball worked to the bottom of the zone, 81-83 mph, touching 85 mph, breaking ball 65-68 mph, late and sharp break, 1-to-7 action, throws for a strike, change up at 73-74 mph, throws with fastball arm, flashes late arm side run, has feel for young age.
2017 Junior Future Games - Physical, muscular, left-handed hitting two-way player. On the mound, worked from over-top slot, with long loose arm action. Fastball sat 76-79 mph, touching 80, with occasional cut. Curveball, had 1/7 shape, depth, and at times had sweep. Offensively, athletic slightly open set-up, strong aggressive approach, advanced plate discipline, chance to have plus power.
