Virginia Tech recruit. 6-foot, 195 pound right handed hitter with athletic frame. Has set PBR Kentucky record for infield velocity at 95 mph. 6.92 runner, 98 exit velo. Aggressive plate approach with the mindset to drive the baseball. Showed off his power at 2018 Border Battle with long HR to left field in game action. Athletic defender with a big arm across the infield.

10/22/17 - Home-1st: 4.44, Position Velocity:  IF-87, OF-91, Exit Velocity: 94

6/14/17 - 60 Time: 7.36, Position Velocity:  IF-86, Exit Velocity: 88
Impressive young player, both offensively and defensively. 5-foot-11, 152-pound RHH, balanced approach, mid-length stride, quick/loose hands, keeps barrel in the zone, ball jumps off the barrel to all fields. Soft defensive hands, strong/accurate throws, good body control and ability to throw on the move.

7/5/17 - Home-1st: 4.6, Position Velocity:  IF-85, OF-87, Exit Velocity: 89

2/12/17 - 60 Time: 7.33, Position Velocity: IF-83, OF-83, Exit Velocity: 86

12/18/16 – 60 Time: 7.34, Position Velocity: IF-83, OF-84, Exit Velocity: 84
5-foot-11, 157-pound RHH showed to be a top prospect in the 2020 class and will only get better with physical maturity and development. Hits from a balanced stance, smooth load to backside with a mid-length stride, hands are quick and loose, gets the barrel on plane and keeps it in the zone a long time producing hard line drive contact from gap to gap. Hands are soft and shows good athleticism for his age, loose/athletic arm produced strong and accurate throws. Tackett is definitely one to watch from the 2020 class with the tools to develop into a true SS at the next level.
