Just like he's done every year for Lutcher, Louque was dialed in for his opening night start against Parkview Baptist.  His FB velocity was also a tick-up from the last time that we saw him as he ranged 89-93 mph, and he paired it with a 79-83 mph SL with short & tight lateral break.  Louque also started to flash his upper-70's CH during his last three innings and induced whiffs on the pitch.  The LSU recruit went 7 innings and gave up 3 H and 0 ER with 3 BB and 7 K's on 100 pitches (61 strikes | 39 balls), and earned the no-decision.

The former Future Gamer was given the ball on opening night against Parkview Baptist, and was once again really good. Louque came out of the gate firing on all cylinders, as he struck out the side in the first inning, featuring a FB at 90-92 mph. The LSU recruit was able to hold 88-90 mph on his heater through the 4th inning, while showing an improved mid-70's SL with sharper break that tunneled well off his FB. He also flashed a 79-81 mph CH that had good late-fading action, and should be a viable weapon in his arsenal moving forward this spring. There was hardly any hard contact off of him all night and the little damage that the Eagles did do to him was on his CB, as they couldn't catch up to his heater. With a simple, repeatable, and in-line delivery with a quick arm; Louque should continue to dominate for Lutcher this spring. His final stat line read: 5 IP, 7 H, 1 ER with 1 BB and 8 K's.
