6/18/13 Long and lean with overall body strength, Michael’s 6 foot 4 180 pound frame still has some room to fill out.  Athletic with decent bat speed and a barrel that is in the zone for a while, he should find his power stroke sooner rather than later.  Speed is not his game but he is agile and instinctive enough to get to balls in the outfield and catch what he gets to a third.  Arm strength is there as he’s 85-87 from the outfield.  He’s a sleeper on the mound with upside there as well sitting 84-86 with feel for a change and curveball.

2/23/13 Reid attended the Midwest Futures Games as a pitcher only but he has proven his worth as a legitimate two-way player at next level.  Reid’s long levers (6-foot-3) allow him to generate plenty of whip, both at the plate and in the field.  He was 91 mph from the outfield showing plenty of life.  The one drawback is the length of time to get rid of the ball.  If Reid can continue to hone his ability to quicken his release he stock will rise even more.  At the plate, Reid was balanced and athletic in his stance.  He has an explosive bat with a smooth load.  Reid generated plenty of lift again utilizing his long levers. Reid pitched as well, sitting 83-85mph with his fastball and showing good downhill angle.
