Player Spotlight 

Oliver Service: OF/C, (2023) University Ligget, MI. 5-foot-11, 180-pound. Solid during batting practice, Service's best exit velocity was 94 mph. (68.12 mph bat speed average). (19.57 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a high controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Has efficient bat speed and short simple swing plane. In his round he found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 86 mph; has smooth feet, sure hands, and a quick fluid exchange. While catching, he made throws to second at velocities up to 73 mph; has a clean fluid exchange, and consistent footwork. had consistent pop times of 2.03-2.10. Had staggered setup. Clocked a 60 time of 7.44 at the event.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Hit: (RHH) Solid. Starts in a balanced stance with a high controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Efficient bat speed. Pull side approach. 

Power: 94 mph exit velocity, average 89.64 mph. 68.12 mph bat speed average. 19.57 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 2.03-2.10 pop times. Consistent footwork, clean fluid exchange. Smooth. Had staggered setup. (OF) Sure hands, smooth footwork, quick fluid exchange. Solid. 

Arm: 86 mph outfield velocity. 73 mph catcher velocity. 

Speed: 7.44 (60-yard).

Oliver Service: OF/C, (2023) University Ligget, MI. 5-foot-11, 180-pound. Athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 94 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Had explosive bat speed, upward short swing plane and a back foot finish. Was able to create a lot of loud contact and found lots of barrels. Pull side approach. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 85 mph. While catching, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 73 mph. Behind the plate, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 73 mph; Displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.95-1.99 pop time. Recorded a time of 7.49 in the 60-yard dash.

Hit: (RHH) Began in a balanced stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Explosive bat speed. Back foot finish, upward short swing. Pull side approach. 

Power: 94 mph exit velocity, average 80.97 mph. 65.05 mph bat speed average. 18.72 mph hand speed average.

Arm: 85 mph outfield velocity. 73 mph catcher velocity. 

Speed: 7.49 (60-yard).

Hitting: Smooth stance with a leg kick. Hands start low and end high with the ability to drive the ball with some force. Showed 84 mph exit velocity on the day. Expect a lot of XBH out of this kid. 

Fielding: From the OF showed a good arm as a Freshman at 81 mph. Moved quickly towards the ball and got around it nicely. Worked glove side well, above average OF that should be considered a high follow.

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 145 pounds.
Swing Mechanics: Uses a slight knee bend. Swings with some effort.
Hit: Pull hitter that has pop in his bat. At a young age shows the ability to square up the baseball. 
Power:80 mph exit velocity.
Run: 7.93 runner.
Field: Shows athletic actions in the field working towards the ball. Shifty mobility.
Throw: 78 mph from the OF.
Defensive Projection: OF/RHP.
Future projection: Young prospect that showed well during his first event. Still in the 8th grade but showed good arm strength and bat control. Also pitched touching 76 mph, paired with a sweeping curve and changeup.
