Karlen was on the barrel multiple times during his plate appearances on Sunday, finishing 1-for-2 with a run scored and three RBIs. The No. 7 ranked prospect in Minnesota’s 2026 class presented a quick bat, flashing his hands through the zone while displaying his natural pull-side power. The former JFG participant was a key part in the middle of the order for the MASH 15U Black team, who took home a 10-1 run-rule victory on Sunday.
Karlen came off the bench for Mash and impressed right away. The current No. 7 ranked player in the class of 2026 rankings for Minnesota, went 1-for-1 with a loud double and a walk. Karlen came into the game to play shortstop and certainly looked the part making plays and with his rangy actions in the field. Karlen is definitely a name to follow for the remainder of the tournament.
