At the plate, balanced set up, controlled leg lift with some hand load, stays balanced through out swing, loose hands, creates fast bat whip, gap to gap line drives, some pull side power.  In the outfield, loose over the top arm action, arm works downhill, quick and athletic footwork, momentum through the catch, quick catch and throw, mostly accurate throws with carry, 83 mph positional velocity. On the mound, Perkins has a controlled delivery, slight tuck and rotation at balance point, mixes in a slide step on occasions from stretch, comes from a high three quarters arm slot, conventional delivery with fluid tempo, fastball at 75-79 mph, throws curveball at 67-68 mph, 11-to-5 shape, occasionally late and sharp,.

7/5/17 - Perkins is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.21 60 and has a 75 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance, controlled load, hands walk away from stride, in line, hands manage the bat, sprayed line drives throughout the hitting round, feel for barrel, controlled swing.  In the outfield, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, crow hop, works behind the ball, clean transfer, fluid footwork. On the mound, Perkins has a high three quarters arm sloth, in line stride, controlled delivery with fluid tempo, high number of strikes with three pitches, fastball worked 71-74 mph, occasional late running action, 11-to-5 breaking ball, late action, 64-65 mph, change up has slight cutting action, throws with near fastball arm speed, 64-68 mph, controllable.
