6/27/17 - Baker is a 5-foot-11 172 pound right handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. He ran an 8.22 laser timed 60 and a 4.85 home-to-first. He showed an exit velocity of 79 mph. At the plate, Richardson showed the ability to hit line drives to the opposite field while starting with an open stance, a minimal load and being short/quick to the baseball. Behind the plate, pop times were recorded between 2.19-2.34 seconds, 68 mph positional velocity, a smooth exchange and mostly accurate throws. While in the outfield, Richardson showed clean footwork, a positional velo of 70 mph, worked well towards his target with mostly accurate throws.

2/12/17 - Baker is a 5-foot-11 172-pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.99 laser timed 60 and a 5.19 home to first.  He has a 79 mph exit velo. At the plate, Baker had middle to pull side contact during hitting evals, open stance with controlled load into back side, minimal movement in hands, short stride, level path through the zone.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.10 and 2.37, one of the top tpop times of the event, 70 mph positional velo, sits low to give target, feel work with hands to give fluid transfer, received ball well in bullpens. In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, short over the top release, quick transfer, work behind the ball and through the catch, mostly accurate throws.

10/30/16 - Baker is a 5-foot-11 172-pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 8.03 60 and a 4.88 home to first.  He has an exit velo of 81 mph. At the plate, starts slightly open, early stride to toe touch, swing produced line drives to the middle and pull side of cage in batting practice, hands dominate swing, level through the zone.  In the outfield, 79 mph exit velo, mostly accurate throws, fluid exchange with momentum after the throw. Behind the plate, pop times between 2.12 and 2.30-seconds, 69 mph positional velo, over the top release with fluid exchange and footwork, some throws flashing carry, mostly accurate.
