Positional Profile: RHP/2B
Body: 5-10, 185-pounds. Physical build.
Delivery: Uptempo drop and drive delivery. Uses a moderate leg lift before striding straight down the mound and falling off after landing with some recoil.
Arm Action: RH. Short strong arm action from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. Some strikes, high spin, keeps its plane. T2503, 2353 average rpm.
SL: 73-75 mph. Some strikes, high spin, sharp right to left break. T2849, 2676 average rpm.
CH: 77-77 mph. Good control, kills spin, arm side fade. T1729, 1729 average rpm.
CUT: 51-80 mph. Tight right to left break.

Malicoat, a high-pitchability righty, leaned on one of the day’s better breaking balls, flashing an advanced swing-and-miss slider at 73-75 mph with heavy break (2,800+ RPM, -21.6” HM). It served as a true go-to out pitch, helping him rack up four strikeouts in two innings of work. His fastball played at 81-83 mph with 2,500 RPM, and he mixed in a 77 mph changeup along with a developing 79 mph cutter.
