Ryan Hoshaw, Francis Howell Central (MO), 2021
Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 160-pounds. Lean, lanky, projectable build.
Delivery: Feet start balanced towards first base side of rubber, deceptive tall/fall type delivery, level shoulders, works in line with target, closed landing, hides the baseball well.
Arm Action: LH. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 81-82 mph. Plays straight, primarily worked down in the zone, strikes to both sides of the plate.
CB: 68-72 mph. 1/7 shape, gradual action, pairs well with fastball.
CH: 69-73 mph. Downward actions, plays toward glove side.

6/13/17 - Hoshaw is a lean 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class.  He ran a 7.75 laser timed 60 and a 4.91 home to first.  He has a 79 mph exit velo. At the plate, tall stance, smooth rhythm and load, controlled leg kick, loose hands, level through the zone.  On the infield, 73 mph positional velo, aggressive to the ball, high three quarters release, fluid exchange on time with footwork, momentum after the catch.  Doubled to center field in game action. On the mound, Hoshaw has a slender frame with quick arm speed, short arm circle, accelerates down the mound, high leg lift with raising hands adds deception, hides ball well, releases out front, throws with some effort, fastball at 75-78 mph, some with late running action, breaking ball as 1-to-7 shape, 65-66 mph.
