6/9/15 - Robertson is a 6-foot 190-pound left-handed hitting OF with a 7.13 60 and a 95 mph exit velo, one of the best of lefty hitters. During batting practice, displayed a power swing, starts loaded in back leg, level path, strong hands, consistent line drives to middle pulls side, tripled to centerfield during game action. In the outfield, hand an 83 mph exit velo, crow hop, over-the –top release, plays behind ball the through catch, loose arm action, accurate throws.
6/24/14 – Robertson is an athletic 6-foot-0, 170-pound left-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery with a repeatable delivery. Will throws with easy effort, has smooth rhythm, and stays level with his shoulders. He displayed good balance and athleticism. Robertson had a fastball velocity range of 77-80 MPH. His curveball was at 60-61 MPH with 11/5 tilt and sharp action. Will displayed a change-up that ranged from 65-69 with near fastball arm speed.
6/24/14 – Robertson is an athletic 6-foot-0, 170-pound left-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.37 and home-to-first 4.95. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Will’s throws were mostly accurate and had good carry. His outfield position velo was 78 MPH. Robertson displayed good feet and a quick clean exchange. At the plate, Robertson has an athletic setup with a smooth load and long stride. He shows fast bat speed with a short path to the ball. Will produces gap-to-gap line drives with his swing and has swagger in his approach. He had an exit velo of 80 MPH.
4/13/19: Left-handed hitting outfielder with plus raw power and a strong, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds. Ideal power hitter's bat path with easy, repeatable swing mechanics and good weight transfer. Creates good separation with a hand load, stays connected and produces good leverage hitting against a firm front side. Hit from a crouched and open stance. More crouched than previous looks, making himself smaller, which typically isn't the best thing for a power hitter (although there are exceptions with crouchers like Schwarber and Bagwell). Fringe average runner down the line, 4.27 on a groundout to short. Near average arm with sure hands in right field. Got good jumps on a day with a strong wind in his face. Quickly read a fly ball hit in front of him, making the catch with ease. Potential everyday outfielder with a fringe average hit tool and above average-to-plus game power production. (Seifert)
8/8/18: Robertson had a huge sophomore year offensively at Creighton where he slashed .333/.412/.641 after starting all 50 games. He didn’t quite match those numbers this summer in the Cape, but he’s still a promising bat to keep an eye on for 2019. Listed at 6’2, 210 pounds with a physically strong frame. Developed proportionally in upper and lower body. Grades out as a slightly below average runner but plays with a high motor at all times. Overall defensive ability profiles best to either corner outfield spot. At the plate Robertson has an advanced approach with a powerful, compact swing. Hands stay tight to the body and consistently work inside of the ball. Generates easy bat speed with noticeable strength in his hands. Strong lower half keeps him balanced thru his finish. Polished college hitter who could hit for even more power this spring. (D Jurik)
