Cole Manuel: Clinton High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-8, 185-pound; C/3B. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 81 mph. Started in tall stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to initiate his swing. Exhibits rapid bat speed and an upward swing plane. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 72 mph; had consistent hands and rhythmic footwork. His best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 67 mph. Showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.04. On the mound, he produced a fastball that came in at 73-76 mph. He threw his curveball with consistency at 65-65 mph.
Manuel moves well for a 2023 grad. His ability to move and his advanced footwork compensate for his arm strength. With an increase in arm strength he could become an advanced defender to match his athleticism in all other aspects of the game.
