Doby Bartling: 3B/OF, (2023) Brandon, MS. 6-foot-1, 160-pound projectable frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 74 mph. Started in a tall stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Has short swing plane, above average bat speed and good extension on his finish. In the round he found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Above average while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 73 mph; has smooth feet, next Level hands and a fluid exchange. Showed an-over-the-top slot and consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.85.
Plays very low with solid footwork and a quick release in the infiled. Has a solid, balanced approach at the plate allowing him to be a gap to gap hitter. Needs to add some weight to his long frame to reach his potential.
