Cape Cod- A top prep prospect from the Class of 2020 Kellum Clark (Mississippi State) struggled to track the baseball and identify spin, leading to 26 strikeouts in 63 at-bats and a .190 batting average. With violence to his swing he has big-time power in batting practice, but that power did not transfer to his summer game with just three extra base hits, all doubles. At his best he works gap to gap, but can get away from himself and just yank for pull side power only. Defensively, he struggles on the dirt at first base and has more of a left field profile. At 6-foot-4, 220 pounds his frame reminds of Justin Smoak, a former 1st rounder and the 11th overall pick of the Rangers in 2008.
