Matthew Cochran: Jackson Prep High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-10, 170-pound; 3B/OF. During batting practice, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 85 mph. Begins in balanced stance, has a wrapping load and uses a short stride right before his swing. Has quick bat speed, as well as a flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Displayed a gap to gap approach in his path. In the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 79 mph;displayed a clean exchange and rhythmic feet. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 75 mph. Had a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 7.44.
