Game Performance

Notes

Comments

1/27/19 Showed solid improvement in his control on the mound. 6-foot, 188-pound right-hander had a simple rhythm as he worked down the mound with in line direction and short quick arm stroke that allowed him to run his fastball up to 84 mph, pitching mostly 80-82 mph. Breaking ball also showed tighter spin at 68-71 mph combined with a fading changeup at 71-74 mph.

11/18/18 Athletic 6-foot-1, 188-pound frame with room to continue to fill. Defensively displayed solid footwork on the infield as his hands worked out front, playing low through the baseball. Arm works well from a high slot as he threw 84 mph across the diamond with good carry. Switch hitter starting from tall stacked setup with loose rhythm in hands. Knee-to-knee type load with some length in stride before getting out on front side. Direct, flat path to the ball that produced an exit velocity of 89 mph. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash.  Right-handed pitcher throwing from high-¾ release, with solid balance, and regular effort in delivery. Fluid rhythm with slightly tilted shoulders and in-line direction working down mound, finishes athletically. Fastball was commanded around the zone at 78-82 mph with angle when down in the zone. Breaking ball showed 11/5-shape with depth at 65-69 mph.

1/28/18 Average 6-foot, 160-pound frame with room to continue to fill.  Switch hitter starts from a stacked, slightly open stance with relaxed hands starting at shoulder height.  Quick leg lift as he loads back, triggering his hands down with short path to contact. Good leverage and lift in the swing with an exit velocity of 81 mph. Took more aggressive swings from the right side. Defender that received ball well out front with slow, fluid footwork, clean midline exchange into short high-3/4 release posting a positional velocity of 74 mph
