1/27/19

Lean, lanky 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame.  Beginning to mature and show a muscular tone.  Stretch only.  Simple delivery working slow to quick, over the rubber.  Works up, down, and out with the lead leg, landing slightly across his line.  Medium arm swing to a high-3/4 slot that floats up at times.  Fastball ranged 74-76, around the zone, with depth when down in the zone.  Breaking ball flashes tight spin at 61-64.  Occasional depth.  When the slotting mimics fastball, the spin pitch could create a lot of issues for hitters.  Lacks trust in the change at 72.

08.09.18
Average frame with length at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds.  Still maturing with room to add strength.  Located his fastball to arm side, creating swing and miss with sink.  Down zone, ranging 76-78 created twelve swing and misses on fastballs in, or around the zone.  Breaking ball is early, flashing occasional sharp 1/7 tilt at 65-66.  Some feel for spin, but a pitch still in development.  Stretch only with an average leg lift and stable head.  Deception with the arm swing, hiding the ball behind the body line.  Some scapular load in the arm swing to a high-3/4 slot.  Average hand speed.  Lands on-line and square.  Lacks extension at times.
01.28.18
Lean 6-foot-1, 180 pound frame with length in his limbs.  Straight line build that can handle additional strength.  Simple delivery, builds tempo from slow to balance, working to be quick to the foot strike.  Short arm action, loads the scapular, releasing from a high-3/4 slot.  Ball is hidden and may jump on hitters.  Fastball ranged 74-77 with arm side run when thrown to the arm side.  Flashed increasing command of the fastball throughout the bullpen.  Change up has fade, nearing the same arm speed as fastball, sitting 68-70.  Stays tall on the back side as he leaves balance, creating some effort through the transition to the front side.
08.27.17
Lanky athlete with a high ceiling.  Stand 6-foot, 170 with plenty of room for maturity and added strength in the body.  Simple delivery with good head stability and an average leg kick.  Short, controlled arm swing works to a high-3/4 slot.  Fights for extension on release, working to leverage down hill angle.  Fastball ranged 72-76, touching 78.  Straight, showed feel for the arm side.  Breaking ball sat 62-63 with gradual 1/7 action.  Flashed sharp tilt when carried to the glove side.  Most stayed to arm side as the arm speed did not match fastball.  The change-up ranged 70-72, still maturing and becoming consistent.
Left handed hitter starts balanced and crouched.  Loads back using an early stride to set the launch position.  Inside-out swing lacking some barrel awareness.  Works to gain uphill leverage through the zone.  Exit velocity peaked at 77.  Fluid feet and average hands at 1B.  Transitions the ball from a vertical position to a long arm swing and high-3/4 slot.  Arm speed of 70 from the position.
