Cape Cod: The husky-framed, 6-foot-1, 220-pound lefty struck out one in his lone inning of work at the All-Star Game. His fastball sat 90-91 mph (2250-2450 rpm) and he flashed two benders; a 72-73 mph curve (2475-2575 rpm) and a 77-78 mph slider (2475-2575 rpm). His changeup arrived at the plate in the low-80s with 1750 rpm spin. In 28 innings this summer Abner finished with a 1.92 ERA, allowing just 22 hits with 13 walks and 20 strikeouts.

UF commit. Strong and athletic frame at 6-foot, 170 pounds. Loose arm action from the ¾ arm slot from the left side. Fastball sitting 90-92 with life, slider with tight spin and late break sitting 76-77, commands the strike zone with both pitches.  Smooth rhythm with easy effort while staying in line to home on delivery. In 3 innings had 8 k’s.

Average frame with strength and looseness present. Athletic delivery, stable over the rubber with a simple setup and rocker step. Slight coil at balance, landing just closed on his line, square with the foot. Long arm action, loose, and quick. High-3/4 release. Falls to the 3B side on release. Fastball at 86-88, touched 89 in the first, settling at 85-87 in his 3rd inning. Short, tight breaking ball at 73-76. Good feel for his offspeed. Fastball control was a bit erratic, but getting chase when elevated.
