11.19.16
Athletic, while thin, at 5-foot-11, 146 pounds that can add strength.  Arm works with quickness through the high-3/4 slot, from a long, and strong, arm swing.  Good balance and easy effort comes from a tempo that can be quickened and evened out.  Fastball touched 85, sitting 82-84.  The slider is an out-pitch waiting to happen… peaking at 69 with late sweeping action and depth.  Slider mimics fastball throughout the arm motion and late into the pitch break.  Change-up is the 3rd pitch, but is serviceable.  Ranging 74-76, with look-alike arm speed.  Does a good job of controlling the strike zone with all three.  From the infield, average quickness with soft hands and quick, clean exchanges.  Fluid rhythm and athletic movement.  Short arm swing leads to a high-3/4 arm slot with good accuracy and carry on throws. Arm strength topped at 75mph across the infield.  Offensively, the right handed hitter starts slightly open, loading back, and using a leg kick to initialize a short stride that dives toward the plate.  ‘C’ Load in the hands creates a vertical bat at foot strike.  Good barrel awareness.  Average bat speed that should improve with strength.  Exit velocity topped at 82mph.  Ran the sixty in 7.44.

Righty that showed an ability to spin his slider, with an athletic, lanky build that can add strength.  At 5-foot-11, 146 pounds, Floyd ranged 80-82 with his fastball from a high-3/4 slot with a short, whippy arm swing, and quick hand.  The slider sat 68-70 with late, sharp 10/4 action that flooded the zone and has the makings of an above average pitch he can lean on.  The change-up is a distant third pitch that touched 77 with decent hand-speed.   As a position player, Floyd flashed a quick exchange and short release from the infield.  In the box, he showed barrel awareness from an athletic stance, short stride with decent batspeed.  He ran a 7.69 in the sixty and registered 74mph in the exit velocity test.
