Campbell commit. 6 feet 1, 202-pound frame.  Thick lower half and imposing physicality. Right hand hitter with a balanced, athletic setup and smooth load. Looks to stay in the middle of the field staying inside balls with a simple swing. Works short to the ball and shows feel for the barrel hitting line drives. Loud impact.  Above average bat speed and stays balanced. Exit velocity recorded at 94mph.  Moves athletically behind the plate with quick feet and good actions. Soft hands with quick, smooth transfers and a short arm action. Shows an easy release with an accurate arm and carry to his throws. Pop times ranged 2.04-2.08.  Very consistent release and accuracy on each throw.  Positional velocity of 78 from te crouch.  Recorded a 4.14 in the 30-yard dash.

Recently re-opened his recruiting process.  Physical frame at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds with strength present.  Right handed hitter sets up balanced and athletic.  Loads back, using a short stride.  Bat head loads to a lagged position.  Hand strength handles the bat head creating above average bat speed with a flat path.  Wants extension.  Ball jumped to the pull-side gap with an exit velocity of 91 mph.  Good rhythm throughout the swing.  Behind the dish settles a little high in the hips.  Strong hands work without much sway in the hips.  Average job tracking balls to the glove.  Rakes the catch across the chest to a short arm action and high-3/4 slot.  Easy arm action produces carry and a good feel for accuracy.  75 mph out of the crouch with pop times ranging 2.07-2.18.

Gardner Webb commit stands at a physical 6-foot, 195 pounds.  Balanced and tall in the box, uses a short stride and explosive back side to create an extremely quick bat through the zone.  Hands load using a slight ‘C’ motion.  Fluid rhythm and a level swing working for extension.  Loose with good head discipline.  Exit velocity topped at 85.  From behind the dish, works simple and easy on throws through to 2B.  Pop times ranged 2.03-2.17, showing carry and accuracy.  Clean exchanges can get long at times the high-3/4 slot is loaded.  Easy target with good hands receiving.  Balls tend to funnel back to the mid-section.  Ran a 4.43 thirty and produced an 8-foot-4 standing broad jump.
07.23.16
A strong athletic build at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, that has some looseness through his hips.  Receives with ease in his base, and flashes hand strength to allow him to handle balls outside his frame.  Will punch at balls at times, as he hand works back to his chest to relax.  The arm shows carry and the exchange is clean, but the exchange comes from a vertical stance that lacks aggression through the target.  Pop times should improve from the 2.21 - 2.50 seen.  McPeak did catch 3 of 4 would be base-stealers on the day, with accuracy on those times.  Offensively, he works from a basic setup, with a small stride in a tall base.  A flat barrel in setup loads to vertical and causes some loop in the swing.  Strength is ahead of quickness in the swing.
