2/20/17- 5-foot-9, 175-pound catcher ran a 5.72 40 yard sprint. At the plate, slightly open stance, swivel hands trigger a smooth swing plane. All field approach, solid line drive contact during round of BP. Posted an exit velocity of 77 mph off a tee. Behind the plate threw to 2nd in the 2.1-2.18 range. Consistently around the bag. Square stance, low target, good sway & lateral movement, sound blocker, quick movement. Above average receiver for his age.
8/3/16- 5-foot-8, 160 pound catcher ran a 7.94 60 yard sprint. Behind the plate is very advanced for his age. Low base and strong hands, works through the ball on throws. Posted pop times in the 2.09-2.22 range. At the plate, showed line drive contact. Square tall stance, high leg kick arrives on time with a slight uphill swing plane. Should continue to develop physically into a top prospect for the 2020 class.
