8/13/17- 6-0, 185 pound two way player ran a 7.22 60 yard sprint. Ranked #22 in the Nebraska 2019 class. Square stance, leg kick triggers compact line drive swing plane, hard contact to pullside. Posted an 85 mph exit velocity. Strong receiver behind the plate, clean high ¾ released, threw to 2nd in the 2.14-2.22 range. On the mound, topped out at 80 mph with his fastball. Clean mechanics, ball gets on a downhill plane, stiffness in front leg, stays in line to home plate. 10/6 shape on 63-66 mph breaking ball with depth, loose spin. Feel for 67-68 mph changeup with run, arm has tendency to slow.

10/30/16- 5-foot-11, 180-pound two-way player ran a 5.16 40 yard sprint. Present strength in lower half. At the plate, tall open stance, top tap rhythm with hands, line drive swing plane, pull side approach, line drive swing plate. Some stiffness. Posted an exit velocity of 81 mph off a tee. Behind the plate, threw in the 2.06-2.28 range. Square stance behind the plate, receives well, slides well to block, quiet feet pre pitch, receives deep and adjusts well to misses in the strike zone. On the mound, topped out at 84 mph with his fastball. High ¾ arm slot on a downhill plane. Aggressive front side, slight fall off to glove side. 69-71 mph breaking ball has late depth in the strike zone. Arm is short on the backside and long out front. Strong follow for the 2019 class.
