Fall '18 - 5-foot-11, 150. Barker has a lean athletic frame, shoulders taper to a small waist. He has plenty of time and room to add weight and strength which will assuredly provide greater barrel impact. Lack of strength and true load accompanied by some length to his swing resulted in late line drive and hard ground balls to the right side. He was impressive behind the plate with good receiving skills and noticeable arms strength. He blocked well and recovered adequately. Core strength improvement will provide the ability to recover quicker. With work, Barker will be a Division 1 backstop.
