Body: 6-foot-0, 180 pounds. Athletic, proportionate build. Has continued to add strength. Still has room to add quality size to his frame.

Defense: IF. Lateral quickness and arm strength keep him at 1B. Has improved feel around the bag. Receives the ball well. Footwork is still a work in progress, but has continued to show progress.
Arm: RH. 74 mph. Long arm action from a 3/4 arm slot. Takes his time to get gathered. Accurate on his throws.
Hit: LHH. Athletic, tall stance. Back foot turned slightly inward. Slow, simple rhythm in the hands. Toe tap load into his back side. Efficient hand path to the ball with a level/slight uphill swing path. Shoulder high, two handed finish. Excellent understanding of his swing. His bat is the best part of his game. Middle of the order type. Drove the ball from gap to gap. Power potential is beginning to turn into preset power to the pull side.
Power: 94 mph Exit Velocity via TrackMan.
Run: 7.49 Laser Timed 60

8/18/19

Uncommitted 6-foot 185. Cascardo has a medium to large frame with strength in his lower half. Speed is not on his side, but his bat will carry him. He displayed a tight range of exit velocity, culminating in a personal best 87 MPH off the tee.  He made consistent hard contact during two rounds of batting practice with signs of pull side power. Cascardo displayed instincts for the first base position in his footwork and picks skills. He showed a feel for touch throws on first base coverages and double play feeds with developing arm strength. Continued arm strength will prove valuable in starting double plays and cuts/relays. He showed solid in-game playability that will benefit from continued changes brought on by natural maturation as well as strength and conditioning training.
