A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.

Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)

Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.

Physical: 5-foot-10, 165 pounds; Athletic, wiry build. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Short take back while showing some scap load; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 84 MPH, while sitting 81-83 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 66-68 MPH. CH: 74-75 MPH.

Physical: 5-foot-10, 165 pounds; Athletic build. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Short take back while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 82-85 MPH; high spin with life and ride through the zone. CB: 67-71 MPH; 10-4 shape flashing depth. CH: 76 MPH; fading action.
6/28/21
Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-10, 150lb frame with two-way capabilities. 7.31 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, upright, open stance with the hands operating loosely above the head. Utilized a lift and replace stride, stretching out towards the pitcher on time with a barrel tip, initiating through a flat path into the hitting zone. Flashed good rhythm at the plate, finding the barrel on a line to the middle of the field (30% line drive rate via Trackman). Top of the order skillset, adding good bat to ball skills with feel for the top hand in the box. Notched a T86 mph bat-exit velocity and worked his way up to a near 280 foot batted ball distance. Mostly singles power for now, though he poses the ability to hit for average at a high rate.
Defensively: The shortstop featured above-average footwork during defense, beating the ball to the spot with rangy actions and lengthy steps in either direction. Good pace and created downhill momentum towards the target, shuffling in-line with a quick trigger from H ¾ slot (82 mph arm). Natural shortstop qualities and consistently set himself up for advantageous hops, dropping the arm down to the side during plays on the run with accuracy on the bag.
Pitching: RHP - The primary righty started off the middle of the rubber with confidence in his arsenal. Pounded the zone using a fast pace, getting to a high, slightly hip-coiled position and down the slope, hiding the ball well at footstrike from H ¾. The FB entered the zone often at 82-84 mph with some sneaky quickness to it (2390rpms). Added a strikeout 69-71 mph SL that showed both depth and bite across the plate, thrown in any count.
