Active upper body with lower body balance and above average hard hit & sweet spot %.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; utilizing a one knee approach while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.14-2.25 pop times. C - 73 MPH.   Displayed a strong arm and quick hands during the transfer.

6/27/22

Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a flat swing path with a late one hand finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. EV of 94.7mph with a max distance of 353ft.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; utilizing a one knee approach while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a high 3/4 arm slot. 1.98-2.03 pop times. C - 76 MPH. Pop time of 1.98

6/30/21

Physical: Strong, durable 5-foot-11, 190lb frame. 7.97 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Upright, slightly open stance as the hands operated high at the shoulder. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to even, launching through a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone. Stayed relatively high in the posture, working towards a deep finish to the backside that produced a clean 80% line drive rate during his round (advanced feel for the barrel). Consistently matched pitch-plane out of the hand and was able to do damage on pitches above the belt for extra-bases (T93 mph bat-exit velocity and 310 foot batted ball distance via Trackman). Middle of the order type bat that could possibly hit for some average down the road as well.

Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a soft glove hand from left knee down receive, showing subtle actions on the corners; pop times ranged from 2.11-2.21 with a wider base on catch/throw phase. Got the hips/shoulders in-line with quicker transfers to a ¾ slot, able to play in and out of the glove with rhythm (70 mph arm, accurate to arm-side).

2/15/21

Physical: Strong, long legged 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame with feel for the hit tool. 7.97 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance with slight rhythm in the hands at shoulder height pre-load. Utilized a lift and replace stride showing obvious stretch, as the torso held the back right drive leg throughout the forward move; the bat head initiated through a slight uphill attack into the hitting zone producing noticeable jump off the barrel to the pull-side. Stayed behind the ball well at the plate generating a standout 42% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball; a 95 mph bat-exit velocity showcased big time power potential down the line, as did 21.4 G’s of rotational acceleration. Will trend towards the middle of the order as he matures.

Defensively: The primary backstop featured quality receiving abilities from a low, traditional crouch with increased pocket awareness. Pop times ranged from 2.15-2.29 with ability to catch and drive the ball immediately to the transfer window, accurate high ¾ release from a short takeaway, up to 68 mph on the bag. Developing blocking technique with a narrow setup, as the glove moved first.
