Stayed behind the ball well with good posture in the lower half inducing lots of hard line drives through the LCF side of the field (36% line drive rate). A 95 mph bat-exit velocity stood out amongst his peers giving way to a 27% hard hit rate (batted balls over 90 mph). One of the better BP rounds of the event with current extra base hit potential throughout a gap to gap approach.
Defensively: The primary shortstop stalked the ball with intent to play through; stayed behind the ball early while creating positive angles towards the target at the fielding window, low posture and kept the feet always on the move, fluid in everything he did, easy arm strength from a live, high ¾ slot (85 mph) showing carry across the diamond. Made the play on the run effortlessly, footspeed will need to continue improving, but the actions speak for themselves.

Active lower half, propels himself into the pitch through his already loaded back side with long, twitchy swing that works uphill creating lift. Hit the ball well when he caught it out in front, displayed the ability to hit it all over the field; peak Trackman exit velocity of 87 MPH. Defensively: Tall stance with feet that work into the position; Takes prep steps to the ball and moves well to it, gets around the right side with constant movement in the feet. Easy hands that funnel effectively to his belt, works a clean transfer; rigid actions in the arm into a 3/4 slot. INF - 79 MPH. Pitching: Slow pace to the delivery until he gets to peak leg lift and then carries good momentum down the slope, throws off a firm front leg. Arm action is a little more fluid here than from SS, has some looseness and whip to it from a 3/4 slot. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-82 MPH. When front foot gets down on time he's able to tap into his lower half effort. Used the whole field with an exit velocity of 74 MPH. Defensively- As an infielder, starts upright. Calm approach with balls in front; ranged well to his glove side and made throws on the move. Funnels balls into his belt for throw; arm strength peaked at 64 MPH across the infield. As a catcher he showed a quick transfer and gained ground on footwork. Athletic setup behind the plate and overall foundation is there. Arm strength was 58 MPH with a pop time range of 2.51-2.65.
